NRDGA young guns fire up

Posted on 09/09/17

Last week (week ending 8th September) the NSW PSSA Primary School Championships were conducted at Camden Lakes Golf Club – a 36 hole competition over 2 days.

The “North Coast Region” was represented by 8 boys – 5 of which were NRDGA affiliated players, including:

- Marli Loomes (Ocean Shores)
- Zane Lowe (Yamba)
- Ben Adams (CTH)
- Sam Adams (CTH)
- Billy Muldoon (CTH)

All of these boys are regular participants on the NRDGA circuit, and so it’s great to see their progress and success in stepping up to a representative team. The North Coast team finished 2nd in an 11 team competition, where the best 3 boy’s and girl’s scores were taken into account. The event is a state-wide competition and includes teams from Sydney Metropolitan, Hunter Valley and Illawarra, highlighting the great performance of our guys.

It is noted that one of our boys, Ben Adams, played so well that he was selected in the NSW State Team to play in the Australian Primary School Championships later this year in Adelaide. Congratulations Ben – this is a great achievement!

Separately, it is noted that Jack Ross from Coolangatta & Tweed Heads GC was recently selected in the Queensland State Team. Jack attends most NRDGA events, and it’s fantastic to see his success as well. Great job Jack!
