Results from Yamba including OOM update and adjusted 9 hole handicaps

On another glorious Spring day, a small group of Juniors with skills ranging from 5 holers, 9 holers to a scratch marker in the Junior boys division set out to conquer the challenge at the Yamba Golf & Country Club. The event was really well run by resident PGA, Jamie Corkill, with his experience and professionalism greater appreciated.
The Junior boys division produced the major excitement of the day with Ben Adams (CTH) shooting an impressive 2 under par 70. Brayden Howlett (Kyogle) was the winner of the Boys net division with a score of 72 holding off George Jones (Lismore) on a count back. The Junior girls gross division was won by Hollie Fuller (Grafton) and the Girls net division was won by Stella Payne (Ballina) on a count back from local competitor Tana Lowe (Yamba).
The 9 hole competition was fought out by 6 competitors from Ballina, Murwillumbah, Lismore and Yamba with Jackson Whitty (Ballina) having 49 off the stick to take out the gross division. Hayden Bray (Murwillumbah) will lose a bit more of his handicap with a net score of 34 good enough to win the 9 hole net division. A group of 5 players in the 5 hole division proved that there is no time too early to get that swing in sync.
