Golfers Shine as Sun Returns: Lismore Hosts a Stellar Day on the Greens

After a run of soggy weather, the skies cleared just in time for a packed day of golfing action at Lismore — and what a comeback it was! A big shoutout to Luke Ryan and his team for hosting a brilliant event that drew an enthusiastic crowd and delivered some thrilling golf.

In the 18-hole showdown, local knowledge may have played a part as Tom Molloy clinched the overall stroke title with an impressive 4-over-par round. Hot on his heels was fellow Lismore local George Jones, finishing just one shot behind. Not far off the pace were Cooper and Franki, who kept things tight in what turned into a real battle for the podium.

Meanwhile, Savanna Abel absolutely lit up the Nett competition, storming in well under her handicap to take the win in commanding fashion — leaving the rest of the field trailing in her wake.

The 9-hole event delivered its own nail-biting finish, with Alec Macklin and Beau Baker neck-and-neck throughout. In the end, Alec edged out the stroke win, while Beau took top honours in the Nett division.

And let’s not forget the 5’s, which continue to grow in popularity and energy. The vibe was all smiles and solid swings, with Bella Ryan emerging victorious in a tight contest. She finished two shots clear of the ever-consistent Liam, who continues to build strong form.
